Change Is A Coming, In Byron Bay Today. The southerly arrived on cue this morning, yet it was not a typical summer southerly change that blew through Byron Bay today. There’s a hint of a chill in the water, the air was cooler than usual and the rain, well let’s just say it’s got that autumn feel to it. It’s not as heavy as the sporadic summer downpours. Rather it’s got that autumn tenacity, where it varies in intensity but never quite backs right off. There’s change a coming indeed, in Byron Bay today. We’re not officially into autumn yet, and I’m quite sure we’ll see more summer heat before we settle into the shorter cooler days. But the loggers were out, the waves were small and long, the swell was more from the south then the east. The dolphins were very active; there were heaps of mullet and a few sharks as well. Yup there’s a change a coming. Huey was just letting us know, it’s time to order new rubber and dust off the logs.
