Twas a taste of Indian Summer In Byron Bay Today, the mercury soared to 29 degrees, the sun shone and it was just an all-round stunner of a day. It was almost eerily quiet in town for a Sunday especially on a long weekend. But it’s hardly surprising as the day was just so beautiful that everyone headed straight for their favourite beach. There wasn’t much surf to get wound up about, but hey that’s OK, it’s Byron Bay. We don’t care if it gets small, we just haul out the loggers and go get wet anyway; after all it’s good to play on a sunny Sunday in the bay. There were a few people getting some pretty little beach breaks around the back, and plenty of families in the bay enjoying the warm water and weather while it lasts. Don’t forget folks the Byron Underwater Festival 09 gets underway this Monday 27th April and runs until Sunday 3rd of May. It’ll be a big week for the dive and water photography crew, looks like they might get good weather for it too.
