The words of that whiskey poet Tom Waits keep running through my mind In Byron Bay Today. “Blow wind blow, wherever you may go take me away” Seriously folks this is the first time in a long time that I’ve had any real trouble trying to find someone to shoot, when there is actually still swell in Byron bay. It was ok this morning, but just as we pulled into the car park, the northerly hit with a vengeance in Byron bay today. From that moment on, all bets were off, we knew up front we were in for a tough one. I’m not sure what the official readings were but I’d readily say the heavier gusts were getting up around the 35kts mark, as we spent most of the time just trying to protect our lenses from being sandblasted. But there were actually waves, if you don’t mind them a tad bumpy. There’s a fairly solid easterly swell running, and hey, let’s look on the bright side. It was certainly uncrowded, In Byron Bay Today.
To all those fabulous folks who chose to pose, thank you, for being here with us In Byron Bay Today.
