Howling Northerlies, . Technically speaking it may not have been a Gale in Byron Bay today. But it was pretty close, that’s for sure. The swell was small and pretty much just wind bump with bits of wind lump thrown in for good measure. The wind had the sand up and moving at speed, so most folks were more interested in getting out of the sun and finding shelter from the wind as it howled through Byron Bay. The forecasters say we’re in for more of this, although I’m hoping we get a little calm before the storm type weather tomorrow, yet I suspect I hope in Vain. Those who did get out amongst it made the best of it, which is pretty much in line with how we do things here. You see contrary to what the tourism marketing companies would have us believe. The weather is not always bright and sunny with light offshore winds in Byron Bay. Like everywhere else on the east cost of OZ we get our fair share of radical weather. This spring and early summer has been no exception. But that doesn’t seem to stop us, or even slow us down. We believe there’s always something worth experiencing regardless of what the weather may deliver,.
