The Sands Of Time, In Byron Bay Today. As they say, patience is indeed its own reward. It give us many things, but most of all it gives us peace of mind. However, try telling that to surfer that’s staring down the barrel of yet another windswept day in Byron Bay. Try to be patient folks, just hang on and wait. There’s a hidden reward in this wind. Yet we don’t get to collect until we’re through to the end of it. The reward is sand, and lots of it. Every day that it continues to blow like this, is another day that’s slowly putting back all that sand that was swept away in the storms of May. Every day we spend cursing Huey for this howling wind. Is actually another day closer to new sand banks all over the place on both sides of the cape. Now while most folks have been hiding from the blow, we’ve been out scouting around for where the sand is starting to build. As per our policy we won’t be saying where, but I’ll tell you this much. There’s at least five good banks building rapidly, and given the right conditions, they are going to fire. If you want a hint, think south westerlies for four of them. I can’t and won’t say more, you’ll just have to get out and look for yourselves. Remember this; the empty waves go to those who bother to look for them, In Byron Bay Today.
