No Rubber Wear Required, In Byron Bay Today. Monday came with the promise of waves, well maybe just a little bit, in Byron Bay today. Truth is it was small, really small. But hey nobody really seemed to care. We had more than seven days straight of howling northerlies last week. From as far as I could see most folks were just really glad that the light summer style easterlies were blowing. There were a few little slides to be had and the groms and loggers got out amongst it for a bit of play in the bay. The water was really warm, no rubber wear required and the air temperature was a very comfortable twenty four degrees. It was just one of those ridiculously pleasant days. The type when people just can’t help themselves the weather has everyone feeling comfortable and people begin to play. Cheeky grins, happy folks, blokes wearing flowers and people throwing each other in the water. Sure the waves were small, but I didn’t hear anyone complaining, because it was just too beautiful to be anything but grateful, In Byron Bay Today.
