Oh my God, was it just perfect or what, In Byron Bay Today. Seriously you gotta love it. The morning showed hints of turning northerly. But we hung back and waited, intuition told me otherwise. We found a few crew in town who all stated knowingly, “Nah dude, don’t wait, it’s getting lumpy and the northerly is coming’. Still we waited; about an hour later, the wind dropped, did a weird little about face, and then gently picked up from the south east. Now for a human being such as myself, in other words, someone fallible and therefore frequently wrong. It’s nice to be occasionally right, even if it is only about the wind. But the nicest thing of all was that when the wind turned and dusted it off. It took a little while for people to realise what had happened. For those who were there, it was a rare window of opportunity. It all worked out really well, we got our shots, we got waves, we even got time to pop in and See what the boys over at Sea Cell were doing, before we had a surf.
