Captain Happy spotted a small but entirely empty break In Byron Bay Today, a rare occurrence indeed. After a few little slides he happened to see several people waving at him from the lighthouse track. Being such a happy chappy he returned their greetings and turned to paddle back out. At this point their waving was joined by a chorus of frantic yelling. So in he came, just to investigate what all the fuss was about. Good thing he did too, turns out there was a 4.5 metre shark sitting right next to him paying very close attention to every move he made, Hmm spooky. Once informed of this turn of events. We promptly decided discretion’s the better part of valour, and headed elsewhere to look for waves. Now there was almost zero swell today so there wasn’t much to shoot, surf wise. However we did meet a lot of lovely folk, and eventually found the first tiny hint of a new south swell arriving. Sure it was really small, but it was also good fun, very beautiful and just a tad exciting, as we couldn’t quite shake the mental image. Of a 4.5m shark lurking somewhere, In Byron Bay Today.
To all those wonderful beings, that struck a pose for us today, we’d just like to say. Thank you, for being In Byron Bay Today.
