Huey sent it all in at once . The rain cleared, the sun appeared and people came out to play as a new swell arrived in the bay. But it wasn’t really the surf that drew our attention today. Sure it had some size, but it was lumpy at best. The real gig in Byron was the electric energy of an entire town seeming to rise from a trance like state induced by several days of rain. There was almost a sense of urgency among the many that wanted, or should I say needed to get to the beach. This was helped along by a chunky looking thunderhead brewing over in the south western ranges as the day progressed. We regularly saw people glancing at its approach, anxiously trying to work out how much time was left before it hit. It’s funny what a few days rain can do to folks. Yet they needn’t have worried, the storm sailed past, producing little more than a rumbling boom and a pre evening gloom. .
To all those great people who delivered a pose for us today, we’d just like to say. Thank you, for being .
