Jan 7 09 In Byron Bay Today

There was still some easterly swell around In Byron Bay Today, but the wind was pretty much east north east. So lumpy, bumpy and twisty was the order of the day. The surf was not all time fabulous by most surfers standards. But if you don’t mind a little twist, which I don’t, then there were still plenty of waves to be had. The bonus today was there were far fewer people in the water at some locales, provided you’re not too fussy. We chose a quiet to surf and shoot and were rewarded on both counts. It was a hoot for us to shoot today. Either people just naturally become a little circus like in front of a camera, or the word has gotten out about what we are doing. As soon as we set up, people started smiling, waving and posing for us as they passed. Whatever it was that set it all off, it was heaps of fun for us to be doing what we do In Byron Bay Today.
