What an incredibly beautiful day it was . You couldn’t have asked for a better start to the last week of the school holidays. The air was warm, the water crystal clear, with a light offshore dusting a straight and clean swell. The waves were big enough to keep kids and oldies alike stoked, yet small enough, to be no danger to the wee ones. Sounds too good to be true, well it kind of was. The conditions were as perfect as it gets for the family surfer. Problem was, every family within a hundred kilometre radius wanted to surf it. The morning session was crowded beyond belief. It was chaos. Thankfully the afternoon session was a little more relaxed. I remember when I was a little bloke. The last week of the school holidays was a frantic race to get as many waves as possible. Nothing much has changed except the size of the crowds. You want to go home happy, not hurt. So be respectful and allow room for others, who also wish to play . To all the fabulous people who struck a pose for us in the bay today. We’d just like to say. Thank you kindly, for being .
