Jan 21 09 In Byron Bay Today

As expected the northerly wind came up In Byron Bay Today. Judging by the way it feels it could well be blowing for the next 3-5 days. Hope I’m wrong about that one. It’s funny how quickly the crowds disappear once the northerly comes up. At times like this; we get to see who the real stoic beach goers are. Guess what, it’s not surf heroes or big boofy blokes, many of whom appear to be a bit Nancy when it gets blowy. It’s actually the girls, the kids and the odd crazy longboarder lid rider whom we usually find out and about on days like this. Getting into it, making their own fun and not letting a little 30 knot breeze spoil their day. So there it is, today was windy, cloudy and the surf was a mess. For the perfectionists it was not much of a day, but that’s their issue not ours. For those of us who just came to play, we don’t care about a bit of wind and lumpy old waves. We’re just stoked about being In Byron Bay Today.
