Jan 23 09 In Byron Bay Today

There were plenty of waves In Byron Bay Today. Ok so it was a tad messy as the wind was from the East. But the big news is there was almost no crowd. Was it because Coastalwatch has pretty much been offline for nearly three days, who knows? What I do know, is there was swell in the bay today. There were far fewer in the water than usual, and those that surfed it were thoroughly enjoying themselves. So good luck I say, to those that scored today. Be grateful, as I suspect we’ll see things return to normal all too soon. By the way, don’t forget there are often seriously good, uncrowded waves to be had all over the Byron Shire. You just need to get out there and look for them. Try following your nose rather than the car in front of you. You may be surprised at how empty and fun some of the lesser known waves can be In Byron Bay Today.
