Yes folks its Australia Day In Byron Bay Today. And what a glorious day it was. Ok there was a little sprinkle of rain. But apart from the momentary wet patch, it was a great day with small clean waves and many happy faces. Today we witnessed the inaugural Australia Day Paddle Race, organised by Garry Morgan & Dan McCabe of Style surf school. A charity event held to raise money for the local Hospital, Surf Club and Cape Byron Trust. It was a screaming success with over 300 entrants making the paddle from Wategos down to Main Beach. Well done guys give each other a big pat on the back. Once the race was over, it was business as usual. BBQ’s sizzled as did the crew in the line-up, kids played, folks smiled and the general atmosphere was one of gratitude. We all came together to celebrate that unique mix which makes Australia such a wonderful place to stay. Especially, if you happen to find yourself, In Byron Bay Today.
To all those magnificent people who struck a pose for us we’d just like to say. Thank you, for being In Byron Bay Today.
