The monsoon trough sitting up north started to make its influence felt In Byron Bay Today. The isolated showers we’ve been experiencing became more frequent. The wind turned almost direct easterly and was squalling with the rain. So naturally you’d think that the crowds at the beach today would be down. Funny thing about Byron is the crowds at this time of year only disappear during the rain. As soon as the sun pops back out the beach goers seem to appear almost simultaneously, especially if they see a couple of people surfing it. I suspect they don’t really leave at all. Rather they just magically shrink down to the size of small tree shrews and take up semi permanent residence in the Pandanus Trees. Then again, I may be mistaken. Whatever it is, we witnessed both deserted beaches and crowded waves alike, all in the space of a few hours, In Byron Bay Today.
To all those robust folk who braved the rain and still managed a smile for us, we’d like to say. Thank you for being In Byron Bay Today.
