Weekend Windup Jun 19 In Byron Bay Today

Back to Jun 18 In byron bay Today Go to Jun 21 In Byron Bay Today

Welcome to .We had quite a quiet one in the old town this past week. That is as far as visitor numbers and events go. But we did see nearly a glimpse of all four seasons within the last seven days. We’ve had it all, Sunshine and almost summer like conditions. There were northerlies reminiscent of spring. We experienced calm evenings and rain periods as if autumn was still hanging on. Then it was cold southwesters reminding us in no uncertain terms that is indeed the season of winter. As confusing as the weather pattern has been, there’s one sure fire way to know that winter has arrived in Byron Bay. Simply go for a walk up to the cape. Sit yourself down somewhere out of the wind, fix your gaze to the east, and wait. It won’t be long before you spot the migrating humpbacks heading north. Whether you see a few spouts out wide in the deep, or a big breach in close. Their mere presence reminds us that winter is here for a while at least. So rug up, go for a walk, get a few waves have a hot cup of coffee and enjoy it while it’s cool .
To all those wonderful folks who chose to pose for us this week, we’d just like to say. Thank you for being here with us .
