It was a Pastel kind of day, . Pastel? I here you say. Well let me try to explain. There were waves, but they were a little weird. There was no rain, but it wasn’t quite sunny. There were clouds but they weren’t quite grey. There was light but it wasn’t quite bright. It was a day that seemed just a little too still and time seemed to take on an elastic property. The sky kept changing colour through various violet hues. It was quiet beautiful yet a little eerily reminiscent of nineteenth century impressionism in Byron bay today. That is of course if you exclude the people with surfboards getting around the place. The numbers were down a little and it took time and patience to get a shoot. But that didn’t seem the matter as the subtle yet constantly changing vista was actually quite soothingly hypnotic. Seemed I could stand for some time between shots and not notice where the time had gone. I don’t know what caused this weather nor do I know if it will continue. What I do know is this. Pastel is as good a description as any for the way it looked to me, .
To all those lovely folks who chose to pose, we’d just like to say. Thank you for being here with us .
