Welcome to In Byron Bay Today’s Weekend Windup. Well what an odd yet strangely beautiful week it’s been in Byron bay. Sunday was washed away with torrential rain, by Tuesday it was fine and sunny with joyous offshore barrels. Then the rest of the week has seen an eerie stillness with violet grey skies that start turning pink early in the afternoon. The waves have been strange too, there’s been twisting swell cross ups and the sandbanks are on the move again. Where the new banks will firm up is anyone’s guess at the moment, we’ll just have to wait and see. This week we went to check on the custom glassing of the In Byron Bay Today subscriber’s lucky draw Bob Brown longboard that’s been won by S. Mackay. It’s looking very nice indeed, hmm I’m sorely tempted to hang on to it for myself, but no, that wouldn’t be fair to the winner. We’ll have a little presentation next week when the board’s finished and introduce you all to the bloke that won. Speaking of which, don’t forget we’ll be doing it all again sometime this year. If you’re not a subscriber you can’t win, it’s free to join so don’t be shy. Subscribe for your daily dose of In Byron Bay Today.
To all those lovely folks who chose to pose, we’d just like to say. Thank you for being here with us In Byron Bay Today.
