Mar 06 09 In Byron Bay Today

After taking care of a sizeable backlog of chores this morning, we arrived a little late, In Byron Bay Today. We apparently missed the smooth clean and nice uncrowded waves the morning had to offer. In fact the crew took considerable joy in telling us that we were indeed, a tad late. But that’s cool. What we did get was really good fun. Sure it was bumpy, but so what. We had good company as the Magic Rabbit popped up and shared a few slides with us; which was a nice way to get into the afternoon. Then soon after, several other well known Byron sliders appeared. They went out regardless of the wind and turned on a good show. We met some fine people, which is no surprise. Then as usual we became mesmerised by the encroaching beauty of evening on The Bay. All in all, late was just fine by us. As once again we were lucky enough to experience the fading sunlight carefully picking its way through a windswept southerly swell sweeping past the cape, In Byron Bay Today.
