We started to feel the first minor effects of Cyclone Hamish In Byron Bay Today. The swell started to pick up from the north. The wind got stronger from the east, and there were many people saying things like “oh goody a cyclone swell”. The waves were bigger, the water was clean and there were plenty of folks getting into the scene. It was a good start to the week, so one can’t complain. We ran into some old Byron locals that we haven’t seen around the traps for some time. It was good to catch up, have a chat, reminisce about the old days and compare them to how much things have changed in Byron Bay. Cyclone Hamish had us all reflecting on the last category 4 cyclone, which hit in the 70’s. Although stoked about the swell we’re hoping this one stays out wide and dissipates, leaving everyone along the East Coast in peace, including us here In Byron Bay Today.
To all those warm hearted folk who chose to pose for us today. We’d just like to say. Thank you, for being In Byron Bay Today.
