May 4 09 In Byron Bay Today

Well it was a bit of mixed bag In Byron Bay Today. We had sunshine, light showers, still moments and gusty wind. Hmm must be late autumn in the Bay, anything can happen and sometimes it’s all in one day. Town was quite busy for a Monday, no surprises there as it was a public holiday in Queensland and the Ocean Swim yesterday would have seen many folks stay overnight. But for the surfers it was refreshingly uncrowded. There were really sweet little waves in the bay, and the logger crew were happily clocking up a few slides. Meanwhile on the ocean side, the Little Whiteboard set were thoroughly enjoying themselves down the other end. The air was a tad cooler today and people are starting to pull the rubber wear out for more reasons than just getting funky. So bring your wetties if you’re on your way into the bay, the water is still warm but there’s a definite late autumn chill in the air. Don’t forget the 29th Annual Byron Bay Malibu Classic hits the water this coming Friday the 8th of May In Byron Bay Today.
