May 5 09 In Byron Bay Today

Just the same as it was yesterday In Byron Bay Today. Well almost, once again we had sunshine, light showers, still moments and gusty wind. Hmm must be late autumn in the Bay, hang on a moment didn’t I write that yesterday? But I digress. Things have quietened down a little in Byron today although there are still plenty of international and long distance visitors around town. The waves were kind of nice for the logger crew and the swell has actually picked up a little since yesterday. But it’s also now coming from a more southerly direction. The end result being that the swell is breaking up a little as it’s refracted around Cape Byron. Over on the ocean side it’s considerably bigger, yet in the bay itself its a little smaller and not lining up quiet as well, as it was on Monday. Having said that, those that brought their logs with them still had a ball and there were plenty of smiling faces to attest to that fact.
