Wow, what a glorious day it was , just beautiful, sunny and warm with cute little waves. The surf, well it’s kind of small but very pretty for logging right now although that’s about it. We had a couple of buddies from Sydney join us for the day, and we were unanimous in our conclusion that a log was the only practical equipment to surf in the bay today. So the shorties remained in the car and the big board’s came out to play. Speaking of big board’s, most of you would know that tomorrow see’s the start of the Byron Bay Malibu Classic. So Byron will be longboard central for the next three to four days. Which is cool, the Byron Board riders have the Ben King Memorial Easter Classic, and the Malibu club run their Malibu classic in May. Both comps are really positive, well respected and good fun. Plus both events raise funds for charity, which is fantastic as far as I’m concerned. But I’d just like to put out a gentle reminder to some of the competitors. Leave the big psyche up for the competition. When you’re out free surfing in the bay you’re just one of the crew OK, no more no less. So wait your turn and be respectful, especially to the elder surfers we have in the bay. They may not surf as well as they once did, but they have earned their right to be treated with respect, .
To all those wonderful people who chose to pose we’d just like to say. Thank you for being here with us .
