It was about as lovely as it gets for this time of year . The wind did swing onshore messing up the waves a little. But hey, it wasn’t real strong and it’s still very warm and beautiful in the bay. Today was the last day in Byron bay for our good friend Brownie, he’s heading back home early in the morning. Bob wants’ you guys to know was blown away with gratitude at how welcoming the local crew has been to him. He’s tried to say all his goodbyes but charges us to say a big goodbye to you all for him. And so we also say farewell mate, we’ll miss you sorely.
On another topic I’ve been chatting to a few old locals of late about some of the negative rubbish in the media about Byron Bay. Most of us reckon if you’d be happier elsewhere fine, but why stay here and tear strips off the home we love? It just doesn’t seem to make sense. Unless of course, the whingers have a hidden agenda, perhaps they want all the folks who love the bay to leave. So they can keep Byron Bay all to themselves. Hmm who really knows what motivates people to verbally trash such a beautiful Place? What I do know is this. Today I saw many folks both young and old smiling and hugging each other. I saw people walking talking together exchanging ideas. I saw people giving warm greetings and tearful farewells. I saw stunning views and dolphins jumping through the outside swell. I saw people at peace with themselves. I suspect the truth is this. We just see the things we choose to look for, . To all those wonderful people who chose to pose we’d just like to say. Thank you for being here with us .
