Gratitude was the name of the game, . What’s this all about? Well it’s simple; there have been earthquakes and a tsunami in the last thirty six hours in the south eastern Pacific Rim. The end result; many souls have lost their lives; many folk are homeless, hungry, frightened, confused and devastated. They face an uncertain future. Disease and possible famine, who knows what else, may come? The simple fact is they are doing it very tough over there right now, and our hearts are with them. While finishing up work late last night Yoko and I came to talking about just how lucky we are here and how grateful we are for all that we have in Byron Bay today. Then I pull up in town this morning and hear a bunch folks complaining about this and that. You know the usual stuff, small town politics and the desire to have others live according to their wishes. It just sounded so petty; it kind of pissed me off. I felt like screaming at them, for God’s sake, don’t you know how good we’ve got it here? But I didn’t, instead we got on with our work and tried to stay open to what the day may bring so we can share it with you. Here’s a thought for those folks who feel Byron Bay is not ok. Open your eyes and try being grateful for all that we have, the fact that we can afford food, and more importantly that it’s readily available to us. The fact that our loved ones and our shelters haven’t just been washed away,.
