Welcome to In Byron Bay Today’s Weekend Review. Yes folks the October long weekend is here, and if the number of people rolling down the highway today counts for anything. It’s going to be a busy weekend in Byron Bay. We’ve already had a big week, although there wasn’t many good waves around expect for last Sunday. But there have been a few moments of fun, for those who took time to look. It’s been a week of whales, dolphins, wild winds, strange swells and still no rain. There’s been tragedy in neighbouring Indonesia, Samoa and The Philippines, naturally there seems to be a general unease about what’s next? I suppose the only answer can be life on life’s terms. Live it each day to the full and be grateful for every day we have by giving something away, even if it’s just a wave or a smile to a stranger. These terrible events are so very sad and yet they remind us how precious it is to be alive today. Enjoy your weekend folks offer a little respect to each other and try giving a little to receive a lot, In Byron Bay Today. PS. Don’t forget that daylight savings begins this Sunday morning at 2.00am. So set your clocks forward one hour on Saturday night before you go to bed. Or you’ll find yourself running late for everything on Sunday.
