Another stunning spring day was on hand In Byron Bay Today. There were waves to be had on both side of the cape. This is always a bonus as it spreads out the crowd, and the weather was just beautiful. We saw light south easterly sea breezes that later swung around to the north east as the day progressed. There’s still a reasonable south east swell running, but we can expect to see that swing around to the north east tomorrow with the wind. That wind will probably increase over the next couple of days until the next southerly pushes through. Now our buddy Darren had the unfortunate experience of coming face to face with a large Great White shark in Byron Bay today. The big cheeky beast came right up to him, eyeballed him then shot off underneath the unsuspecting crowd. It freaked the poor bloke a little, which is highly understandable. Those things are big. Like I said last week folks, don’t be alarmed but do be aware. Whales and their calves also equals predators, it’s just the way it is. So be sensible around the water at the moment, In Byron Bay Today.
