Welcome to, In Byron Bay Today’s Weekend Review. Well folks what can I say, it’s been a huge week in Byron Bay. We’ve had swell, wind a few wild antics. A truck turned over out of town on one the back roads. There have been Brown Snakes coming out of their winter hibernation, so watch where you walk folks, mating season and they are more aggressive than usual. There still plenty of whales about the place, and shark sightings as well although we haven’t seen any. Plus to top it all off Byron Bay made the national media again this week with yet another story that’s not remotely unique to Byron Bay. I can’t help but wonder sometimes if there’s a little anti Byron bay sentiment out there in the mainstream Australian media? Anyway that’s enough of that, on a brighter note we have had breaks from the wind, a few happy families up from Victoria for their school holidays. Plus we’ve had waves of fairly reasonable fun and quality most of the week. We also have been trying a little experiment to see if Yoko and I would catch the same surf shot, from two different angles without communicating or planning it, just for a bit of fun. Well we got it, no signals, no phones, no planning. We just caught the same shot from 300 metres apart; it’s amazing what we do for fun, while standing in the sun, In Byron Bay Today.
