In Byron Bay Today’s Weekend Review. Well folks it’s been nothing short of extraordinary in Byron Bay this week. Egad what a week it’s been, the swell has been up and down like a yoyo. Huey can’t seem to make up his mind which way the wind should be blowing, but at least he’s decided on the velocity. Howling seems to be the predominant choice for wind settings at the moment. There’s been whales frisking and capering all over the place with gleeful abandon. The odd shark or two still were cruising around giving to occasional surfer a bit of a spooking. Just leave the water for a few minutes folks if one comes around, they’ll soon move on. Then to top it all off we had the dust storm on Wednesday, that’s spring in Australia for you, everything card is in the deck and you never know what card will be dealt next. Of course there’s been heaps of talk about global warming this week, and hey I don’t doubt it plays a part. But I also remember this being the norm for spring when I was a little bloke. The season was just as unpredictable then. After all this going on, I got to say we were very lucky to be invited to Kiva Spa up the road in Mullumbimby to do a review on their service today. Talk about perfect timing, as we both needed a serious wind down after facing the elements everyday this week, and we weren’t disappointed, but more on that later. Make sure you keep an eye out for that when we publish it, because John the proprietor has come up with something pretty special for our email subscribers of, In Byron Bay Today.
