It’s Your Choice, . I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, if you want quality surf, you’ve just got to go out and look for it in and around Byron Bay. You know recently I’ve heard a lot of complaints about kids, log riders and general crowds in the bay. Which is kind of weird, as log riders, kids and crowds is a natural equation for small soft surf. Byron is famous in the bay for its long soft waves. If you’re looking for something a tad more serious, then put your talent where your mouth is, and look a little harder. There’s plenty of decent sized waves on offer with a whole lot more punch, and far fewer people. I managed to find plenty today and hey, guess what; it was utterly uncrowded with waves going begging. While in the bay it was onshore, half the size with quadruple the crowd, go figure that. Remember folks, there is a whole lot more to Byron than just the famous and often small point breaks, all you got to do is look. If a crusty old bloke like me can find them, then you shouldn’t have too much trouble, .
