Just Being, In Byron Bay Today. After the last few very hectic and sad days, it was really good to get back to just being, in Byron Bay today. We’ve heard great news, apparently young Pascal is going to be ok, or as ok as can be expected, which must be a huge relief for the little blokes parents after some very frightening days. Either Byron was relatively quiet today, or perhaps it was just, us as we decided to avoid the main scene and shoot a few quieter spots for a change. The surf wasn’t particularly good, or bad. It just was; which sometimes is exactly how we like it, no hassles nothing special. Quite simply one of those days when just being is more than enough. It doesn’t really matter whether the surf was cooking or not, what matters is simply appreciating what Huey offers up on a daily basis. Events such as the one we’ve seen in the last week tend to bring us to a point of reflection once the dust all settles, or at least that’s the effect it has on me. Like a scratched record I always seem to come back to the same place. Life is short, unpredictable, often painful and also at times very beautiful. How I live it is up to me, I have a choice. I can whine, whinge, judge and complain, I can create my own hell where nothing is right and never will be. Or I can simply get up and get on with it. I can give thanks to Huey for the opportunity of another day. I can get out there and just be. Whenever an event forces me to reflect on all the complexities, pain, confusion, joy and weirdness that is life in general. I ultimately wind up remembering to be grateful for every day I have, In Byron Bay Today. To all those fabulous folks that chose to pose, thank you, for being here with us In Byron Bay Today.
