So The Waiting Game Continues, . Hot, fairly windy from the north, and not much swell. One could be forgiven for thinking we’d almost slipped backwards into spring in Byron Bay today. But no we do get this weather occasionally at this time of year, it’s just a brief northerly between the frontal systems, and we’ll probably see a break from it in a day or so. Speaking of the weather, we really haven’t seen any sign of a real tropical low pressure system thus far for the season. We were spoilt rotten with surf this time last year. Just check our archives for last January if you don’t believe me. This year, we’ve had a few nice waves, but nothing quite big enough yet to be frothing at the mouth over. So the waiting game continues. Now speaking of frothing, I’ve been doing some research on the net and have read some outrageous opinions about the injury that Pascal suffered. We don’t need knee jerk reactions here. We do need to stay on message, and we all need to keep personal agenda, prejudice and business interests out of this. This whole terrible event was an accident. We can avoid this being repeated with basic self regulation, from all of us. I say let’s keep it simple here folks. Inexperienced surfers just need to listen to the experienced surfer’s when they suggest they go back down the line or in the white water to learn. Traditionally that’s the way it’s always been done, and that is what really works. Inexperienced listen, experienced speak up, it’s quite simple really. And while we’re at it let’s all try being grateful for the fact the little bloke is already up and walking around, . To all those fabulous folks that chose to pose, thank you, for being here with us .
