Peaceful Moments, In Byron Bay Today. As the northerlies backed off and calmly settled into gentle summer sea breezes, the town seemed to be settling down just a bit too, in Byron Bay today. I got to say that it’s kind of nice, after the events of the last week, and the following flair ups of media opinion and angst, to witness folks getting back to a more normal Byron style of pace. There were a few little slides for the logger crew in the bay. The little white board set were getting their fair share around the open side. The little ones were back in the water and loving it again and apart from the usual beginner being where it would be safer for them not to be, it was a peaceful and glorious day. The surf wasn’t all time, but hey, it was surfable, clean and nice and refreshing in the water. The occasional set would sweep through the bay, the dolphins were going off, and all was well as far as we could see, In Byron Bay Today.
