If You Can’t Stand The Heat, In Byron Bay Today. Well they say if you can’t stand the heat get out of the kitchen. But what do you do when the whole of Byron is cooking? Not from the political pressures of what’s going on of late. I mean from the summer heat pure and simple, because that’s what we’ve got in Byron Bay today. It was hot today folks, it’s still hot and the southerly we were all pinning our hopes on for swell and a few cooler days. Is now looking like its being bullied into submission by a new high pressure system as it ekes its way towards the bay. That frontal system, which would have given us three to four days relief has stalled, is losing intensity and it looks like we may be lucky if we get a day or more respite from this heat. If the high pressure system has its way, and so far it looks like it will, we’re in for a very hot dry later half to this week in Byron Bay. If this comes to pass, it’s starting to look like bushfire and heatstroke weather is on the way. So be mindful of what you do with smoke butts, don’t leave glass lying around in the sun, wear hats and cover the back of your neck. Get wet and stay in the shade. We should get a break tomorrow, but after that all signs thus far are pointing to a possible prolonged period of pretty high temperatures. I hope I’m reading the maps wrong, but if not, be aware, carry water and stay cool, In Byron Bay Today.
To all those fabulous folks that chose to pose, thank you, for being here with us In Byron Bay Today.
