What A Difference A Day Makes, In Byron Bay Today.Well the southerly change arrived on cue and there was much rejoicing in Byron Bay Today. There were waves, a bit less crowds and most were thoroughly enjoying the brief respite from the heat. But don’t get too used to it folks if the weather reports are on the money we’re looking at several more days of pretty seriously hot weather in the bay. Speaking of heat there was a small meeting held today of a fledgling working group aimed at addressing some of the issues we’ve seen in the water in Byron Bay this summer. I was there and although I can’t speak on behalf of the people present, as an individual I can say this. There’s hope guys. The idea of invites only scenarios where regulations are made on the behalf of other folks who aren’t given their voice is dying the natural death that such silliness should. Thank Huey for that. There will be a gathering, or happening or whatever other labels you may choose to give it on Sunday the 31st of January at Clarkes Beach at 10.am. This isn’t a shouting match or a protest rally. It is however a chance for all local and interested surfers to turn up and share how it is for them. And maybe see if any of you guys are be interested in trying to heal what’s gone down this year. It’s a chance to be involved as a community to work together to be a part of the solution, In Byron Bay Today.
