Feb 3 13 In Byron Bay Today’s Week In Review

Plenty,. Well nobody in their right mind say that we didn’t have plenty of swell, this week in the bay. However plenty of swell and plenty of waves are not always the same thing. The week started off with big seas and short period storm surf from Passover of Ex TC Oswald. The beastie really didn’t produce much in the way of waves. But it did move a whole lot of sand around. We didn’t lose too much sand, but we did lose the shape of our banks. It could take a few weeks for them to be reshaped into something nice. On the other hand when Oswald was done and dusted. Ex TC Garry poured some very sweet and clean long period easterly swell straight in our window. It lasted for several days, but has now moved into a dying off phase. Yet when it first hit and that wind swung offshore, there was plenty on offer, .
