The Way It Is, In Byron bay Today’s Week In Review. There really hasn’t been that much going on in Byron Bay this week. The weather has settled into a typical late summer pattern. We’ve had a few waves, yet nothing that flash. The winds have been nice and light, the weather has been warm and humid, and it’s pretty much been a week of dragging out the logs and just going for a cruise. The only thing stopping it from being as pleasant as one could hope for has been the obscene number of hire boards in the water lately. Sadly the ever increasing numbers of novices on these things, being given directions to our most crowded breaks is getting to people. It takes a lot of the fun out of it for everyone else, both locals and visitors alike. But the reality is that until the entire surfing community actually stands up and says. ‘No, that’s it, we won’t accept this anymore, and it needs to be dealt with’. That particular situation is not going to change. It’s sad to see it going this way crew, it really is, but it’s just the way it is these days, In Byron Bay Today.
