Lucky,. Things definitely had that monsoonal kind of feeling as the remnants of Ex TC Oswald begin to track south towards us, in Byron Bay today. Yes folks this is the calm before the storm as they say. Naturally there are a lot of people winding themselves up about cyclone swell and such. Hey it could happen it could get good if the beastie heads out to sea within the next 48 hrs. But right now that’s not what it’s doing. At the moment the remnants of Oswald is basically a massive rain depression moving down the east coast in our direction. It is generating high seas and some swell. But at present its low period, storm swell. Or to put it simply a mish mash of waves bunched up tight together and swirling in all directions like a giant washing machine. Sounds more like beach erosion stuff than big clean waves. But we live in hope, maybe after the heavy rain that’s coming and the high seas we’ll possibly see some clean lines off the back of this system. If we’re really lucky that is,.
