Wow what a week of contrasts for us at In Byron Bay Today. Monday saw a good swell hit the bay with plenty of people, sunshine and hot humid weather. Tuesday greeted us with blue bottles, and a sharp drop in swell that lasted till the end of the week. During the rest of the week we saw just about every kind weather pattern you could imagine. It was basically small wave logger sessions all round. Secret banks and lots of smiles were order of the day for most of the week. The ocean was very much alive, it was kind of like a giant Seafood Bisque` warm with a fishy aroma and over flowing with seafood of the extremely fresh variety. Therefs been plenty of Dolphins and a few big Sharks spotted around Byron bay. Wefve seen ebirds at workf everywhere, indicating schools of fish with something larger underneath driving them to the surface, which would certainly account for the larger predators. Then add to the mix some wild weather, strong winds, bucketing rain and a new easterly swell which finally arrived on Friday. And youfve got yourself the Weekend Windup from us here In Byron Bay Today.
